Beamsplitters
Beamsplitters are partially transmitting mirrors that divide a light beam into reflected and transmitted components. They are available with different splitting ratios. Achromatic beamsplitters have a splitting ratio that varies only slightly with wavelength across the visible spectrum.

General parameters
Dielectric beamsplitters split or combine optical beam paths. Independently of wavelength, light is split into a reflected component and a transmitted component.
